This is a 3 week immersive program, limited to 12 participants for an intimate & family group setting, with food & accommodation included in your package so that you can focus on your studies and experience. This program welcomes all ability levels! We balance our time between Vinyasa and Yin Yoga. Learning with a holistic approach, exploring where Science meets Spirituality. We have a quality focussed curriculum, with an emphasis on the application of knowledge with personal mentorship and feedback from your trainers.

  • Yin Yoga + applied Chinese Medicine
    - Yin Yoga Postures - Yin Yoga teaching methodology & principles - Chinese Medicine theory & application - Fascial Networks & Myofascia release techniques - The 12 Meridians of Chinese Medicine - Acupressure points for Yin Yoga postures - Organ function & systems according to Chinese Medicine - Female health according to Chinese Medicine - Yin Yoga sequences for targeted emotions (EG Anxiety and stress) - Chinese Medicine class sequencing 60 + 90 minute class structure - Chinese Medicine - The Element theory (Sheng cycle) - Practice teaching & application * All taught to you by a Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner * There will be a Yin recap section for the foundations of Yin Yoga which were taught at the 200HR level
  • Advanced Vinyasa Yoga
    - Principles & History of Vinyasa Yoga - Advanced sequencing methodology: Mandala, Elemental, Creative, Dynamic & Power Vinyasa - 60, 75 + 90 minute class sequencing & structure - Principles of Vinyasa sequencing - Advanced teaching methodology: Incorporating Anatomy & Philosophy into your classes - Hatha - Vinyasa as a hybrid: what is Hatha Yoga & how to teach more traditionally - Advanced teachers tool box: going beyond foundational teaching methods - Alignment & Adjustments for progression & regression of practice - Peak posture breakdown, workshops & teaching practice - Practice teaching & application of knowledge - Energetic Anatomy of Vedic systems: Chakras, Koshas, Vayus, Bandhas

  • Philosophy + History
    - Overview of core texts: Bhagavad Gita, The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Hatha Pradipika - Sutra Studies - History of Buddhism + Yoga - History of Hinduism + Yoga - Core Buddhist teachings - Hindu Deities + Yoga - Practice teaching / group work
  • Anatomy & Physiology
    Gain a deeper understanding of how to apply the Anatomy of Asanas in order to use this knowledge for more inclusive and professional classes which help to prevent injuries or take into account personal limitations and help students gain functional movement. - Anatomy of Asanas - Posture analysis - Application of Anatomy knowledge (this is a key area which allows 200HR students to refine their knowledge and apply it) - Injury prevention + common injury, how to make adjustments, variations and inclusive sequences - Acknowledging injury + understanding the role of a Yoga teacher - Functional movement + Yogic conditioning (hypermobility vs flexibility) - Energetic Anatomy (Please see specifics mentioned in other modules)
  • Meditation
    - Daoism + Meditation - Neuroscience of meditation - Modern Meditation techniques - Traditional Meditation techniques - Practice teaching + group work
  • Sound & Sound Healing
    - Intro to the Science of Sound - Intro to the History & cultural uses of Sound - Practical skills for Yoga teachers - Sound bowls (Tibetan metal bowls and Crystal) - Drums (Entrainment and historic use)

We have a multi level style of teaching, we do not have an 'elitist' approach, we look at everyone as individuals and make each of the classes inclusive.

 

Whether you're becoming more serious about embodying Yoga, creating a career within the Yoga industry, or just wanting to expand your personal knowledge, then you will get a lot out of this course.

The Nuga house is a boutique hotel with Cafe and pool, the shala features the native Nuga tree, bringing a grounding energy to your practice as it reaches up into the shala.
